We are working hard to have our first overnight camp and plan to do this last week of July of 2022! It will be an overnight camp that dives deeper into skills and Enduro style riding. It will be action packed and programmed to to maximized the days in full. -think shuttles and lift service, games and other sports. We plan to keep them busy while keeping the kids safely progressing and maximizing our learning environments here in the NEK. The 7 day overnight camp is unique in that we blend mountain bike instruction and training with tools--both for the mind and body--to help kids continue progressing once they return home. We don't just ride trails, we engage in life-long learning and success in the sport!
We follow proven PMBI* methods for skill acquisition and riding ability. Small athlete to coach ratios provide a safe, positive learning environment. Our programming covers braking, riding position, trail awareness, turning, shifting and more. We use the Kingdom Trails network and the Burke Bike Park for our lessons. Other activities, like swimming, games and hiking, are largely hosted in the beautiful Northeast Kingdom. Our time in the water is often Lake Willoughby, but at the end of a long hard ride our local secret swim hole is a perfect ending too!
This will be our 11th year teaching mountain bike skills to young athletes.
