 KINGDOM CAMPS, EAST BURKE, VT

JULY 31-AUGUST 4/ 9am - 4pm / Ages 8-15

The 5 day camp is unique in that we blend mountain bike instruction and training with tools--both for the mind and body--to help kids continue progressing once they return home. We don't just ride trails, we engage in life-long learning and success in the sport!

We follow proven PMBI*  methods for skill acquisition and riding ability. Small athlete to coach ratios provide a safe, positive learning environment. Our programming covers braking, riding position, trail awareness, turning, shifting and more. We use the Kingdom Trails network and the Burke Bike Park for our lessons. Other activities, like swimming, games and hikingare largely hosted in the beautiful Northeast Kingdom.  Our time in the water is often Lake Willoughby, but at the end of a long hard ride our local secret swim hole is a perfect ending too!

This will be our 5th year teaching mountain bike skills to young athletes.

Kraig Sourbeer is owner operator and has organized countless ski racing trips and camps for athletes of all ages. Whether it be for the next Olympic ski Champion or your young mountain biker is about safety, learning skills and fun. Kraig is currently the Alpine Program Director at Carrabassett Valley Academy and committed to helping make this full day camp inaugural year a great one for all athletes and parents involved.
