Kingdom Mountain Bike Camps

With am and pm sessions in MR1 and MR2!
Program Information
Kingdom Camps strives to improve riders' skills and confidence while having fun along the way! Our coaching methods follow proven PMBI* methods for skill acquisition and riding ability. Our sessions normally have 15 campers and work in smaller groups with like-minded abilities. Small athlete to coach ratios provide a safe, positive learning environment.

Our programming covers braking, riding position, trail awareness, turning, shifting and more. Some groups progress to maneuvers like bunny hops, jumps and manuals. We use the Kingdom Trails network for our lessons and start and finish in the East Burke Village.

Mountain biking is a skill oriented sport where strength and size can have significant effect on abilities. Ultimately, we want your child to be in the program where a similar ability group can be formed and it is positive while out on the trail. Some ages overlap groups to help give more choices when picking out the ideal program. We do make exceptions to fit the skill and fitness level of your child. If you have further questions please contact us.

Single Speeders
These kids are on a single speed, coaster brake type bike and are learning how to pedal consistently and smoothly while turning and braking. They are a proficient rider on a Strider/Balance bike and can ride it without help in a pump track. They have started using pedal bikes and can ride them in a flat driveway.  Now it's time to get them riding and love for the sport! We use open spaces on dirt and flat terrain with many options to progress and build a foundation to ride well and have fun while doing it.

Granny Gear
These riders are capable of starting, stopping and turning on their own. We work on skills like body position, braking, turning and shifting. Children are introduced to pump track and single track riding in small groups, then head out for a taste of great flow trails like Riverwood and Herbs.
MEETS 9:00-12:00, OR 1:30-4:30 (GG1 only), Monday-Friday

Middle Ring
Skill building, fitness and fun are the main emphasis for our Middle Ring group. We strive to advance our campers into competent, responsible riders. A typical session starts with 30 minutes of skills on a flat and easy terrain followed by balance and pressure control work on well built trails like Shoots and Ladders. After a snack break we hit the single track and log some miles! A typical session often ends with a well deserved dunk in the Dishmill Brook.
